Thank you for visiting Cooking Loves Company, a resource for foodies and wellness seekers!
Here’s bit of my story…
Growing up I spent a lot of time at my grandparents’ house where my Grandma Eunie was always in the kitchen. She was famous countywide for her pastries and Midwest home cooking. My family and I sat down at the table nearly every night for dinner. It was consistent and wholesome, laying the foundation for my love of food, hospitality and sharing my passion with others.
Throughout my college years, I paid the bills by working in restaurants from Seattle, to Maui to San Francisco. I learned a ton about cooking techniques, wine pairing and new, exciting ingredients. After late nights in the restaurant, I’d often wake up and watch cooking shows all morning. I loved watching Barefoot Contessa, Everyday Italian and 30 Minute Meals. These ladies taught me even more about developing flavor and building delicious recipes.
Searching for a complete life change, I decided to pursue my lifelong interest in skincare and became a licenced Esthetician. I thrived on helping improve troublesome skin conditions, watching my clients self-esteem transform in the process. I found it deeply gratifying to educate others and help them achieve their skin health goals. This eventually led me to expand the scope of my education in the health and wellness industry as I completed a B.S. in Health Education with an Emphasis on Holistic Health. I have continued my career as an Esthetician, treating patients at one of the busiest Cosmetic Dermatology practices in the Bay Area for the last 7 years.
I currently live in Petaluma, CA with my husband Jesse, 4 year old daughter Mila and 1 year old son, Jackson. When I’m not cooking for my family or testing new recipes, you’ll find me hanging with my kids, spending time outdoors/exercising or working on home improvement projects with Jesse.
My personal path to wellness started with food, and Cooking Loves Company is the fruit of my passion to share my love of cooking and eating with others. My hope is that these pages are a resource you’ll frequent for health inspiration and delicious recipes time and time again.
Learning to prepare nutrient rich meals will be one of the best and most empowering decisions you’ll ever make, I can promise you that.
